At 10:45 a.m., but lines at Tomahawk began to shift their positions, generally to the west. Batteries began advancing closing to the creek and the DEF defensive lines tightened as the USCT division shifted west and 2/III/AOA went into battle line formation, extending to the west of the Clinton Road.
Although the Confederate line has tighten in the center and shifted slightly left, one large brigade has moved out of Osborne Woods towards Tomahawk Creek at near Oak Hill, meeting a Confederate cavalry brigade there and being in close proximity to Herling's Union cavalry brigade on the other side.
At 11:00 a.m. skirmishers from Louisiana and Illinois started clashing in the woods to the west along the banks of Baker's Spring Branch. Also at 11:00 a.m., Federal Batteries were sighted looking for firing positions on Robertson's Hill.....
....to be continued....
