Cursed be the map makers!

Both II Corps AOA and III Corps DEF took to the field around the Hively and Young farms respectively and cursed their respective engineer corps. The maps which they had been given were not 100% accurate. The areas west of the Sylamore Road were much less wooded than their original maps had made the area to appear. The actual area looks more like this, with broomsedge in the open areas.

The woods west of Hively and  the "ring woods" slightly south are pine woods. Closer to Young, they are deciduous woods.
