WIA5

Command. You develop a brilliant strategy for control of the campaign theatre. You issue orders to your sub-ordinate commanders, who (like their units) vary widely in quality and ability. Then you wait. On the other side of the White River, is another commander who has issued his own orders. Somewhere, today, your forces will meet.

Reports start arriving. You look at the maps. You look at the reports again. You look at the maps again and try to peer through the fog of war. Things haven't gone quite as planned. Gains in some places, losses in others. Brigade commanders are down and need to be replaced, but by whom?

Dawn is approaching. Your men await new orders for the day.

THE WAR IN ARKANSAS V (WIA5) will run in 2015. It will use the WIA Mod and a slightly modified version of THE OZARKS CAMPAIGN theatre. WIA5 will be a strategic level simulation, that is run with two players at a time. Rather than a clash of mighty armies in massive engagements, players will be trying to control a large area with a relatively small force. Engagements between brigades, several regiments, or even single regiments will be the order of the day as commanders spread a corps-sized force across the campaign map to control towns. Some towns have more strategic value than others. How will commanders allocate their forces and supplies across the campaign theatre?

The simulation is different from any others in the WIA series so far. It will start on February 27th 2015.
