ENTERING THE OZARKS

THE OZARKS CAMPAIGN command simulation is being preceded by a test sim called ENTERING THE OZARKS which is starting this week. The test sim is a two-player simulation similar to WIA2. The players will command divisions that were transferred out of the WIA3 campaign theatre at the beginning of the WIA3 sim.

The divisions have been formed into provisional corps, with the cavalry division from each army. The Federal provision corps is under Brigadier General Dupont and includes the 7th Division, 8th Division and the Army of the Arkansas Cavalry Division. Dupont's corps has arrived at Mt. Olive on October 1st 1864. The Confederate Corps has arrived at Lebanon under Major General Francis Haggerty. It is composed of the Department of the Eastern Frontier's cavalry and its 4th and 5th Divisions. These forces will engage in the center of the campaign theater, waiting for the main body of each army to arrive sometime around October9th - which will signal the beginning of the main OZARKS CAMPAIGN simulation.
