DEF II Corps Reports


HDQTRS, II Corps

Murfreesboro, May 1st 1864 – 6:00 a.m.

 

Lieut. Gen. ALBERT G. BLANCHARD,

CMDR, Dept. of the Eastern Frontier,

 

GENERAL: Both II Corps division have received orders and are expected to begin their respective marches shortly.

Murfreesboro, May 2d1864 – 10:00 a.m.

 

Lieut. Gen. ALBERT G. BLANCHARD,

CMDR, Dept. of the Eastern Frontier,

 

GENERAL: The second division reports having reached Arkadelphia at 8:00 a.m. this morning without encountering any enemy force. I have received no report from First Division, which is travelling on secondary roads and has not reported.  It is presumed to be on the march around Alpine or Amity.
