GENERAL: All three III Corps divisions are
prepared to start their marches. The
third division march to Pine Bluff is expected to take four to five days. The
other division should arrive at their objectives in one to two days’ march.

GENERAL: First Division, First Corps passed
through Holly Springs early this morning and is believed to be nearing Cache
Marsa. Second Division is marching with extreme Lethargy and has not yet
reached Princeton. I have sent word to Maj. Gen. Crowell to hasten his men.
Third Division passed through Warren this morning and is believed to be in the
vicinity of Relf’s Bluff.

this morning. Third Division also reports its arrival at Relf’s Bluff. Neither
division encountered the enemy.
