Newburg Road - Terrain Study (Cross Plain)

For those who study terrain for the sim, here are a very long series of photos along the Newburg Road, tracing a division's march along the road from the entry coming from Benbrook Mill's until the division is deployed in reserve columns on Union Road, just north of Cross Plain town. The entire march to deployment time took about 45 minutes.  You will see the area around the O.B. Goodrich Farm, which is set in a valley. North of the Goodrich Farm is Goodrich Ford across Spring Creek, in a deep ravine. After the ford, the road climbs northward towards town, passing come fields on the right (east) and a pine forest on the left (west). When passing along the fields, the road is on a sort of plateau, above lower land in a valley to the east, until reaching town.
