Liberty Ridge is heavily wooded, giving limited visibility and making an advance across the ridge a tiring endeavor. Wales' men moved west onto the ridge in pursuit of Strang from 6:30 a.m., but took their time reforming due to exhaustion in the ranks. Strang reformed, with Ewing present, and formed a line with three regiments (two have been routed already). Eventually, Wales slowly advanced into range and the two sides have re-engaged by 6:50 a.m.
Meanwhile, Swain's Division reached the Wilkens Farm, due north of Strang's position. It appears that Swain may be starting to move a brigade south towards the fighting on Liberty Ridge.
