McCall charged into Wilson's Junction, but became disorganized and his 3rd Brigade was not yet up. Wales had started the fight and most of his division was low on ammunition, some being completely out. With his front cleared, Wales' Division went to resupply and allow other to advance. Swain continued to press forward against Faulkner's Brigade at the edge of Buzzard Roost and Bowden, still in good order, began advancing north up the freight road, with a brigade on either side.
At 11:20 only Faulkner was still engaged on the AOA side, doing his best to hold back Swain as Parker's Brigade came down the slope on Faulkner's right front. With most of his corps on the way to Big Flat, Stanley stood with Maj. Gen. Mallory, who turned Satterfield's Brigade to straddle Freight Road facing south and placed Gillmore's Brigade on the west side of the road facing west against the advancing Swain. This covered Faulkner's retreat and Faulkner's men started falling back...
