Canister over Baker's Spring Branch

The Maj. Gen. Benjamin Adams' III Corps has advanced enough to start engaging the enemy infantry on the opposite banks of Baker's Spring Branch in force. Anderson's Brigade was the first to open fire, exchanging volleys with Malone's Brigade of Crowell's Division. Bower's Brigade came up on Anderson's right under canister fire from Nixon's Georgia Battery and is firing on the battery and Matheney's South Carolina Brigade. Further down the line, the AOA 1st Division III Corps has also started engaging with Binker's Brigade, Haggerty's Division and is taking canister from guns of Coleman's Alabama Battery, which were interspersed through the line.....
