As the two sides sort out their lines, prisoners have been coming in. The 14th Kentucky (CS) from Brigadier General Bieber's Brigade has brought in a number of prisoners from the 167th Indiana and 64th Missouri, taken during the closest fighting along the Princeton Road. Among the prisoners of the 6th Missouri as Lieutenant Colonel John M. McConnell, who had been commanding the regiment. Command of the 64th has been transferred to Major Gilbert S. Peters.

The XXVI Corps is also bringing in prisoners from the 13th Kentucky (CS), which had been on the left of Bieber's Brigade. Prisoners are also in from the 16th and 23rd Missouri (CS). They report that Colonel Travis Hawthorn of the 23rd was killed while crossing Tulip Creek and they assume the regiment is under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Albert T. Smith.
