Commander Casualties in WIA5 - Effect on Commander Attributes

In the TC2M Game Engine, when an officer is a casualty, he is always reported as deceased in the game. In the WIA5 simulation, however, when an officer is reported deceased in-game, a die will be rolled to determine his actual status in the simulation:

There is a chance that the commander will be fine if a 1 or 2 is rolled.  This applies to Division, Brigade and Regimental Commanders of detached regiments.  When a regiment is still attached to its brigade, the commander is not represented as a separate "sprite" in the game and will not be shown as a casualty in-game. However, at the end of each day, a roll of the die will determine whether a regimental commander will be listed as a casualty based on a table corresponding to whether the regiment was routed, lost its colors (captured), or simply by the % of casualties that day. Here is a sample of one of the tables:

If a Regimental Commander is lightly wounded, he will have a (-1) modifier on all of his commander attributes except style.

If he is wounded, he will have a (-2) modifier on all of his commander attributes except style.

If he is severely wounded, he will have a (-3) modifier on all of his commander attributes except style, but will attempt to remain on the field unless relieved.

Players may choose to relieve wounded commanders of their command and have them report to the Hospital. The next in command will take over the regiment and be assigned random commander attributes.
