The Pines

Work on the Flat Woods map (the final map in the campaign theatre that will be used in WIA5) is well under way. The area was named flat woods for its pine forest. The area used for the map (north and northwest of the current site of Mountain View Arkansas, includes Whitewater Creek. 

The area representing Flat Woods in WIA5 is almost due south of the original site of Sylamore Town, which is near the current settlement of Allison. (It appears on the same USGS topographic map.) It is also south and slightly southwest of Sylamore Bottom, where fighting in THE OZARKS CAMPAIGN will resume next week.
