On the Ridges - North Fork 0830

As Mallory's Division took the crest of SW Blevins Ridge, Gowan's Corps decided not to contest the hill. The Confederates withdrew to form on Goat Ridge, allowing Stanley's I Corps (AOA) to occupy and form on Blevins Ridge without further losses. Batteries from each side are hurling shells at the enemy across Morton Creek on the opposite ridge.
