In the area of Flat Woods (Mountain View was not established until after the war) was a settler name Samuel Brown and his cabin, covered with clapboard was a pre-war structure that still exists. The architecture is similar to the small cabins appearing in WIA maps. Most of the WIA maps use the same few houses, as there aren't too many options and I don't know how to create new houses. Many of the houses available for map makers come from the Gettysburg and Fredericksburg maps, and would be anachronistic for the Ozarks in the Civil War period. So.... it is hard to tell one WIA map from the other in terms of the houses used. They are, however, representative of local buildings at the time:
